My server keep getting timed out

So me and 2 of my friends we play on this aternos server with mods about 49 mods we got every thing right but while we were playing in the server for a bit we all disconnected and it said disconnected time out but when we are on the main server screen we still see in the server that has 3/10 people in there there’s this 1 friend of mine who built an house some where and when we are keep joining the server and testing we thought that we are too far from each other so the server can’t stand it but no when the guy with the house said he’s at home the world just stop every mobs stop then we get dis and time out we keep testing this 2 more time and every time he’s get close to his house it’s get time out I don’t know if that’s the problem or something else I would very appreciate the help
