Well, Aternos is safe from DDOS, and you didn't need to pay anything here. Why your saying that you wated 50$ here? Aternos is FREE and they are not accepting any donations

The Aternos network is protected against several types of DDoS attacks. Also we're getting notified about each DDoS attack to our network.
Maybe you can tell what exactly happened.

Set your server to online mode "Premium" to prevent players from flooding your server.
