Hey so why is it that there are three separate saves for the world save, world_nether save, and world_the_end save. Can't you just save them all in the world save or in one download like it used to be to be less complicated. By the way just came back to my server and was wondering about this stuff. Thanks

This is not caused by Aternos.
That's a problem of Bukkit/Spigot. These server softwares are saving the nether and the end in different worlds. If you want to merge them again, see this:
world_nether and world_the_end only exists on bukkit or spigot. If you move from bukkit/spigot back to vanilla you have to move the world_nether and world_the_end into main world folder and rename
- world_nether to DIM-1
- world_the_end to DIM1 -
So what if you are playing on vanilla minecraft already how do the saves work then?

File structure:
Vanilla:
Main world: /world/
Nether: /world/DIM-1/
The End: /world/DIM1/
Bukkit/Spigot:
Main world: /world/
Nether: /world_nether/
The End: /world_the_end/When you switch from Vanilla to Bukkit/Spigot the nether and the end are automatically moved to it's new locations.
When you switch back from Bukkit/Spigot to Vanilla you have to manually move /world_nether/ to /world/DIM-1/ and /world_the_end/ to /world/DIM1/ -
What if you were playing vanilla minecraft in the first place and not bukkit or spiggot am i still gonna have to keep moving the nether and end files and rename them to that each time i make a back up save to my computer?

You only need to rename the folders when you change from vanilla to bukkit/spigot or vice versa.
If you want to play your world in single player it's like changing back to vanilla.

Ok say for example I am only playing vanilla minecraft on my server with my friends. I do not plan on using bukkit/spigot. I downloaded my map's "world" save as a back up in case I need to reupload to my server the map due to any data loss etc. Is this the only save I will actually need?
