My friends made a server and I can't join. I know I'm on the right version, but whenever I try to join it says: "failed to connect to server" and below that it says "io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection refused: no further information". I know I have been white-listed and several of my friends were able to join the server. How do I fix this?

What's the server ip you're trying to join?
Did you already try the Dyn IP: https://guide.aternos.org/connect ?

Please try to join aft2d.aternos.me (Vanilla 1.12.2) and check if you have the same problems there.
Are you able to open http://aft2d.aternos.me in your browser?
