    Welcome to yet another thread about the latest few versions! some of you may have already seen my previous post about1.13 & it's performance problems, ( 1.13 thread )

    just like 1.13, 1.14 has performance problems. These where not fixed. those versions have or can be optimized throughout getting mods like optifine or using softwares like PaperMC. We ( the discord helper team ) personally advise you to use PaperMC on 1.13 like mentioned in my other thread.


    1.14 does not have a papermc version yet. Since it only got released on the 23dt.


    Right now i advise you to wait patiently until it gets released on PaperMC. If you really want to play, than i suggest to use optifine. Optifine is a mod which optimizes your gameplay.

    I will be editing the thread when PaperMC 1.14 has been added., till then, have fun and good luck.

    Definately both. I tried running 1.14 in my client, on a premium host, and its SOOOO much slower. But for aternos, the real difference comes with the fact that its a FREE host, with limited CPU and RAM, and the vanilla server that comes with minecraft is really not well optimized.

    Spigot released 1.14 hours ago, tried it. Feels somewhat better. I'll be patient with both Mojang and PaperMC/Spigot to keep up the good work on the updates/optimization.

    Oh and also, servers have 1700MB Ram for 1.14 ? Noice. (Hope it's just a precation and not a workaround for performance issues :P)

    I do believe it is an attempt for a workaround.
