    Usual suspects for lag are Decocraft and Securitycraft.
    Regardless, I recommend using Magma over forge on 1.12.2: It's forge and paper combined, meaning you get forge with boosted performance and even plugins. Your mods and world should stay, but still make a backup regardless.
