  • So some friends and me have a survival server on Aternos, at the beginning (when we were playing with 4 people and the world wasn't that big) it was lovely to play and almost never expierienced lag. Now with around 8 players and a world file of 2 gb we do have lag, so I had an old pc lying around and I thought to myself lets make a dedicated server out of it. Now it's running Ubuntu and everything works so I setup my standard minecraft server which works. So now I want to put the survival files onto the dedicated server and that's where I ran into some trouble. The old host sent me the world folder which I then replaced the world folder from my minecraft server with. Nothing changed, the minecraft server on the dedicated server only lost it's save files but further nothing.

How do I transfer the world with all its data to my dedicated server and what is the right way to implement them?

  • I'm slightly confused, are you the owner of the Aternos server?
Do you have access to the owner's account?

If you have access to the account, go into the "world" section in the server page, and download the world.
Just replace the level.dat in the server with the one from the Aternos files, and any player data you want. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm afraid I can't help.

    Enjoy :)
