This is the second time I've missed a 60 minute queue. The confirmation sound plays within 10 seconds I move from whatever I'm doing, open aternos chrome tab, but all I see is the "START" server button. What's the point of a notification if it's delayed?

It shouldn't be delayed and we also can't reproduce that issue.
Which browser do you use?

tab open in the background could the delayed notifications be caused by that?
Yes, that could be the cause. Unfortunately this is browser behavior which we can not really change.
It might help to open our website in a separate chrome window where it is the only tab opened.
