Operator Glitch

So I started a server with a few of my friends using our illegal Minecraft accounts, I made my best friend and his alt account op because he plays on 2 devices. I had a few problems so i cant play minecraft for a few more days, so my friend has to be the one to manage, we have a data pack, called multiplayer sleep where when 1 player sleeps it will become morning. I gave one of my friends access to turning it on because he always sleeps SUPER late. For some reason, I sometimes see him as server op as well as his cousin. My best friend also said that he notices this too. I tried using the deop command in the console, nothing worked. It seems it only works for a temporary amount of time. How do you fix this glitch?
