Will my data be read properly?

So last time i put my single player world save into aternos, it worked flawlessly. But when i turned it on cracked for my friend to join, my data was wiped, my pets, items ender chests, gone. i've looked at some other threads and i saw that because online mode is off the server doesnt read player data properly. so if i put the server on cracked before i put in the save, will my data be read?

aww man, my pets arent mine anymore, but ive seen my friend turn the server cracked without changing the way the server handles the playerdata, any idea how he did that?
