  • spigot.yml has so many options that can help many people.

    For example: I want to speed up the melon grotwh, so I can do this with spigot.yml.

    Another example: I want to make a server that you can't lose hunger in it, so I can edit in the spigot.yml the hunger section and set all values to 0.00

  • There are options that players do not allow to modify

  • Most of the people don't know anything about the options included on spigot.yml, they may ruin or lag their server or without knowing how to fix it.

    Reset button to default settings;

    Short description of each parameter;

    Recommended value for each parameter;

    Individual change limit for each parameter that either cannot be exceeded because the value is too dangerous or can be confirmed (Confirmation that you know what you are doing).

    The server can also be compromised with bukkit.yml and paper.yml, but this is not a reason to ban them.

  • But still, that will not gonna happen, maybe in the future no matter what you want it to to be added. There is Options menu for you guys to modify, what else do you want to modify. Plus, most of the example in the first post, you can just do /gamerule instead.

    So add an advanced button on the settings menu.

    As Amgelo563 just said, player can ruin it without knowing how to fix, even small or high value, it still affect the experience of the gameplay.

    People don't really know what they're doing when they do that, even a confirmation won't stop them. We still receive reports of "why my settings don't save when I reinstall" or "why my server was deleted when I downgraded/changed software", yes, even with the big confirmation screen they seem to ignore it, so a confirmation is not really an option.

    So add an advanced button on the settings menu.

    Aternos is mostly used by really young people, an "advanced" button would just seem "cool" from them and not stop them from actually changing really risky options.

    Maybe you can add a reset button and advanced button.

    According to statistics, Aternos has 600k players every day. How many of them ask stupid questions a day? 10? 50? 100?

    Is that a lot compared to the majority of users?

    Also, I don't know how you can hurt your server with spigot.yml (cut by functionality). Yes, you can greatly increase the rendering of chunks (You can limit it), you can increase the rendering of Entities (You can also limit it, like all other features). But what will it do? Maybe the server will not be able to start up due to the load. Is it a strong problem? It will pass if you reset this file.

    Against the background of problems removing the whole server due to reinstalling the software, I think it's a trifle.
