I just deleted my old Java and downloaded a new one then when I joined my friend's server it showed Internal exception io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Packet 0/26 (pn) was larger than I expected, found 142 bytes extra whilst reading Packet 26. I deleted all of my versions and downloaded it all again but it still doesn't work I use TLauncher.

Try using the DynIP: https://support.aternos.org/hc…72-Connect-to-your-server

My friend's server is currently offline and I found out that this problem only happens in version 1.16.3 for me I will try it out once online.

Yes, it happens when using 1.16.3 and your PC cached wrong DNS data.
-> Use the DynIP
