Nether and End reset and auto-backups gone

    I and my friends have been playing on my server StreakCraft for quite a while and things were smooth. But today, when we tried to start the server, it kept stopping itself while in queue, a dozen times. Finally, when we were able to get the server running after numerous attempts, it appeared that the

    nether and the end had been reset. The overworld was still intact though. The server settings were also reset, like difficulty, cracked mode, etc. I tried to restore from auto-backups from my drive, but to my surprise, i found, that there were no backups available and even the auto back up setting had been reset and toggled off(even though i had it on previously). There is no option but to restore the nether hubs and gold farms by hand. We are also salvaging whatever we can from the plugins we had. I am confused as to what went wrong, and whether the nether and end can be restored by some other means or not. There had been occasional server crashes before, but it was all fine once the server was restarted. Any help would be appreciated!


    PS. We were using PaperMC 1.16.3

    Nope, and no one had access to backups. Could it be possible that during some previous server crash, the auto-back up setting reset itself and toggled off. As i remember I had toggled it on when the season started in early October.

    There is a server I am playing on it that also had this problem where the nether is restarted and the backups are not working or corrupted
