Internal Exception:io.netty.handler.timout.ReadTimeoutException

Me and my friend were experiencing issues connecting to our modded server (Curse.) It works perfectly fine if only I'm playing but once my friend joins it crashes and give me the message: Internal Exception:io.netty.handler.timout.ReadTimeoutException. Do you know where this error is coming from and if so how do I fix it?

Generate a new world and try to join, but make a backup before generating the world

After making the backup and generating a new world (you can also use the reinstall button in the options of your server if you want), start your server and join
