  • Hi all, I used to use aternos to host my minecraft server, then I got a ridiculously good deal on an HP Proliant DL360 G7 (dual processors). The processor in this server are Xeon X5672, which is the previous generation of xeon processors. However, it seems to be much faster than the aternos servers. I just want to know if aternos servers mainly use E5 series xeons, or use previous generation xeons such as the 5600 series

That's the previous of the previous of the previous of the previous (...) generation.

That difference comes from the fact that you're running just one Minecraft server while we have to run multiple servers.

For the majority of hosts, they use Xeon E5. But our latest generation of hosts is based on AMD Epyc.
