I've already looked through some of the posts on the forums but I'm having some trouble. This is my first server so please forgive me for any mistakes.
I can't seem to place or break blocks, I'm in Vanilla Java 1.15.2 and I have uploaded a map into the server to play with my friends (cops and robbers from PodCrash) But since loading in in Survival I have not been able to break things such ladders or levers which is needed for a couple ways to get out of the Prison. I'm already OP and my Spawn Protection is already set to 0. Is there anyway to help this?

Maybe you are in adventure mode. Usually, survival is the default for servers, unless you changed it in the settings.

My setting still say Survival, I tried changing gamemode while in the map and it wouldn't let me either.
