Hello ! I've been trying to connect to Aternos servers for about like. three months now, and have not gotten any good results so far.

As the subject says, that's the text I get when I attempt a direct connection to any server on minecraft, also I use Tlauncher, the most recent release, 1.16.5.

I'm not sure if this issue has anything to do with my laptop or firewall settings or minecraft, I'm pretty new to the whole multiplayer server thing so... I have no idea what I'm doing !

My S/O convinced me to write this thread to find any solutions, I got my wifi router set up today and it shows the same error message [io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection timed out no further info] I got a lot when I tried to connect using my mobile data....

So far I've checked the firewall settings, used the DynIP, and LAN port- I don't know how to use that 😅

I've also checked the uhhh logs while my server was preparing blah blah... it said the version is set to 1.16.201.2, bedrock, couldn't really change it to java edition and not sure if I'm a bit brain dead or what, can someone help me a bit ? every bit of help is appreciated, thank you lots !

If bedrock is installed on the server you of course can't connect with java
