Hey, I'm trying to play on my friends Aternos server but the lag/packet loss is unplayable. We are playing with no plugins, and my other 3 friends (host included) have little to no lag. Whenever I join, I can normally walk around for a few seconds but my character model isn't even loaded. There are also many unrendered chunks that I can see through and walk over. I can use the internet completely fine as well as play on minecraft servers with no lag. This isn't an FPS issue; my FPS is constantly between 180-300 on all servers. I can provide a video of it happening if I need to.

Did your friend check the server console yet for more information on why this is happening?

It doesn't actually disconnect me, it just is unplayable with me dying from mobs I can't even see

Maybe all of your friends are generating new chunks and are causing lag.
Try living near each other in the nearby rendered chunks. -
Have you tried being the only one on the server or the first one to join to test if it would still lag if no one else is on it
