a few months back i uploaded a world to aternos (i had been playing from lan), but now when i try to download the world it is the world i uploaded that gets downloaded.
any help would be great, thanks

It's not broken, the downloaded world is definitely correct.
Note that depending on your cracked setting on the server UUID resolution might be different on your client and on the server. Therefore it might look like it's older, but it's not.

when i download it the entire world has definitely gone back to when i uploaded the world, all my newer buildings are gone and my inventory is set back to the tools i had at that time,
Then you mixed up files / folders, or you maybe restored a backup before.

Again. It's pretty sure not an issue on our size. Since we don't store different versions of a world you can only download the latest version of the world.
You're probably mixing up files and loaded / joined the wrong one in SP - or something like this
