i just need to know if theres a way to get your mods to move over with everything else, or if all of our modded items are just gone in the new server

Yes by creating a backup of your current server and restoring the backup in your new server.
Note that this is only possible if both of the servers are hosted on Aternos.

im unsure of how to move this to a whole other server, we managed to get everything over to the new server and working accept the places where we had previously placed modded items are entirely gone.
i am unsure of how to take a backup out of the server to put into another -
- Connect a Google account on the backups page
- Create a backup
- Create a new server
- Connect the same Google account on the backups page again
- Restore the backup you created before
