  • I just made an Aternos server and I've gotten on it a couple of times. The trouble I'm having is the dynamic ports. How will one of my friends join my server if the port keeps changing every time on startup? This leads to my next question: can you start the server without going onto the console? For example, if I wanted to join a friend's server, would I just be able to join the server with it automatically starting or would I have to ask my friend to start it up for me? Is there something I'm missing or not looking at? Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Aijreed, at every startup you must then give them the port! As thats an obvious thing to do. lso... The server cant automatically start as it doesnt have such AI, you must ask your friend to start it

In Addition: This annoying port changing thing only applies to pocketmine, bedrock or minecraft <1.2.5

For every other version you can use your aternos.me server ip, this IP is always mapped to the right port.
