Terrain not loading?

Hello, I tried setting up a server today (with mods included) but when I get in, the world only spawns in small chunks and the ocean is invisible. My friend doesn't have the same issue so I'm assuming it's something on my side only. The world spawns fine in singleplayer, and I removed optifine but that still didn't work. It worked, I took out all of my mods except for the ones we added for the server. Thanks for the help.
