I am getting this error ( Received string length longer than the maximum (47>32)

    I have been getting this error ever since, I moved server ver. from 1.16.3 to 1.8.9.

    I do not have any mods or plugins installed that I know of, since my software is Vanilla

    Yes, my launcher is cracked (TLauncher to be specific)

    and when I checked the logs it says this : Mystque lost connection: TextComponent{text='Disconnected', siblings=[], style=Style{hasParent=false, color=null, bold=null, italic=null, underlined=null, obfuscated=null, clickEvent=null, hoverEvent=null, insertion=null}}


    I do have this bedwars map installed that said (No mods needed).

    Really? I can join my friends server (ver. 1.16.3) just fine with just Mystque as my username, but when I connect to my server (1.8.9) it doesn't work. But I'll try it when I get the chance.

    There is a similar error message to yours which is caused by too long usernames. In your case it's something different.


    In general upgrading and skipping major versions is not recommended. Especially since 1.13 where the world format changed completely.

    I'd recommend upgrading major version by major version and activating force upgrade where it is available
