i play on a server with quite a few mods and whenever i try to join the server, it gets past the joining server and loading terrain but then the screen darkens and then it says this message,
I've checked all the mods that i have and all the mods on the server but it still says that

I'd assume that you don't have the same mod collection installed on your computer as on the server.
Note that also the versions of the mods must match!
If your 100% sure that the mod versions match then try deleting the config folder which is located in the minecraft installation path.
