Server Memory

Why did server ram decrease on most versions ? I remember a few weeks before I played on 1.15 modded server, with 2.5gb ram, it was actually going pretty well, and now I tried to make 1.16 version modded server, it said only 2gb, the server was very laggy even just for 3 players, I thought why it had less ram? I tried it on older versions and most of them had the same ram... Will it be increased again or is it permanent? Because it's annoying how laggy the server is... Even with performance mods.

Oh! That's great to hear? But why does it show me that it only has 2gb ram? On every software I chose.... Is it a visual bug perhaps or there's something not right?

I could agree to that if it would've only been on forge, but I've tried it on plugin software, vanilla and different versions, and all of them have 2048 ram like 1.7.10 and 1.17, I remember before 1.7.10 had 1700 ram, 1.12 had 2100 ram, maybe the numbers were a bit different how I remember but I can swear that it wasn't 2048 ram before, or at least not on all versions. My friends even remember how my older server a few weeks ago had 2500 ram, and now it has 2048. I don't want to be annoying, but it doesn't seem right, like It's plenty enough for 1.7.10 with some mods, but not much for newer versions like 1.16 even with performance mods.
